This recommended practice is jointly sponsored by the American Petroleum Institute and the Chemical Manufacturers Association and is supported by the Associated Builders and Contractors, a trade association representing many of the contracting companies working in the petroleum and petrochemical industries. Provides guidance for petroleum and chemical industry facility owners and contractors for improving their contractor safety programs. These measures include procedures for contractor selection, training, and job-site orientation; performance reviews; measurement and evaluation; and safety program checklists.
