This code applies to the general requirements for the design, installation and operation of x-ray equipment to be used for dental, diagnostic, screening and superficial therapy. The code also includes a group of rules to ensure adequate protection and suitable working conditions for patients undergoing x-ray examination and/or treatment, and for those engaged professionally in the administration and/or operation of such examination and treatment.
