1.1These practices cover the design, testing, and construction of mixtures for surface treatment of pavements. It is written as a guide and should be used as such. End-use specifications should be adapted to conform to job and user requirements.

1.2The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the standard. The non-SI units used in this standard are allowed by the sub-committee for clarification in the use of the standard.
