1.1This specification covers the evaluating of the performance of heavy duty shielded couplings to join hubless cast iron soil pipe and fittings.

1.2Couplings covered by this standard shall have nominal dimensions as found in Table 1 and Fig. 1 of this standard.

1.3The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
