Details test and examination criteria for portable camp heaters, including the infrared or radiant type but not the catalytic type for use with liquefied petroleum or propane HD-5 only, having input ratings of 12,000 Btu per hour ( 3.52 kW) or less and intended for use both indoors in adequately ventilated structures and outdoors. This standard applies to heaters designed for self-contained fuel supplies using fuel cylinders of not more than 75 cubic inches (2-1/2 pounds nominal water capacity).
