1. SCOPE

This specification defines the performance requirements for interior seating and trim fabrics, unlaminated, as a fabric/foam bilaminate or as a trilaminate with a scrim backed foam. Fabrics or laminates used in some applications (e. g. molded trim panels and seats, etc.) may sometimes have unique requirements. Any unique requirements shall have joint prior concurrence of the affected Design Engineering and Materials Engineering activity. Any exceptions to this performance specification will be made part of the respective material specification.
