Scope

This standard established acceptable performance criteria for solid-state electricity meters including: class designations, voltage and frequency rating, test current values, service connection arrangements, pertinent dimensions, form designations, and environmental tests for types "S: and "A" meters.

Abstract

New IEEE Standard - Inactive - Withdrawn.Acceptable performance criteria for solid-state electricity meters are established. Detachable socket, type S, and bottom-connected, type A, as well as any other arrangement agreed upon between the manufacturer and the user are included. Class designations, voltage and frequency ratings, test current values, service connection arrangements, pertinent dimensions, form designations, and environmental tests are covered.
