Scope

These standards define environmental performance for televisions, television combination units, component television units, personal computer products including notebook computers, desktop computers, computer displays and imaging equipment relating to reduction or elimination of environmentally sensitive materials, materials selection, design for end of life, life-cycle extension, energy conservation, end-of-life management, corporate performance, and packaging.

- Inactive-Withdrawn.The 1680 bundle defines a clear and consistent set of environmental performance criteria for the design of televisions, televisions combination units, component television units, personal computer products including notebook computers, desktop computers, computer displays and imaging equipment. These standards provide an opportunity for manufacturers to secure market recognition for efforts to reduce the environmental impact of electronic products. This standard is also intended to provide a tool for government, institutional, corporate, and consumer purchasers to identify products that demonstrate environmental leadership. This bundle includes: IEEE Std 1680-2009, IEEE Std 1680.1-2009, IEEE Std 1680.2-2012, and IEEE Std 1680.3-2012
