This Practice provides designers and users with the minimum requirements for ASME B73.1M pump baseplates and baseplates for general purpose pumps that do not fall within ASME B73.1M dimensional and performance envelopes.Baseplate requirements covered in this Practice are for horizontal pump designs described in ASME B73.1M and PIP RESP73H, and for general purpose pumps. Baseplate dimensional requirements shall be in accordance with ASME B73.1M except for free-standing baseplate designs and general purpose pumps that are not of the ASME B73.1M design. If a dimensional conflict arises between this practice and the AMSE B73.1M, this practice shall take precedence.
