This specification covers the requirements for electrodeposition of a zinc-nickel alloy and the properties of the deposit.

Zinc-nickel plating has been used typically to provide corrosion resistant to steel parts which may operate at elevated temperatures shown 1.3, but usage is not limited to such applications. See 8.9 and 8.10
