Full Description

This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of die forgings, hand forgings, rolled rings, and stock for forging or rolled rings.

These products have been ued typically for applications requiring high strength in light-to-medium sections, but usage is not limited to such applications.

Certain design and processing procedures may cause these products to become susceptible to stress-corrosion cracking; ARP 823 recommends practices to minimize such conditions.
