These requirements apply to oil-fired, vented, fan-type wall furnaces. Requirements for the installation and use of oil-burning equipment are included in the Standardfor the Installation of Oil-Burning Equipment, NFPA 31.

Whereconsidered appropriate, revision of requirements may be proposed and adopted in conformance with the methods employed for development, revision, andimplementation of this Standard.
